Stephanie Bittle, LCSW
Psychotherapy for Women in Chapel Hill, Durham, and Online.

About me
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the State of North Carolina. I received a Master’s in Social Work from New York University in 1996. I have always been interested in the unique challenges women face in our society. In therapy, you and I will establish which modalities that will be most effective for your growth and recovery.
I moved to Chapel Hill from New York City 11 years ago. I have 21 year old twin daughters and understand many of the struggles in raising children in these difficult times.
Services
Trauma and PTSD
I look at trauma with compassionate curiosity, often beginning with adverse childhood experiences and how attachment issues from your childhood may be impacting current relationships.
Depression
Women experience complex emotions and carrying the weight of this alone can lead to burnout or depression.
Anxiety
Women can feel trapped in fear and anxiety. I use CBT to help build skills to regulate to calm again.
As women, we are often exhausted due to the multiple roles we play: in our romantic partnerships, as caretakers of children or of our parents, as family members and friends. Therapy helps you examine how negative patterns may have developed and make positive life changes.
